    Lonely Pong

    A mobile arcade style game that is a twist on the class game of Pong. In this new iteration, the player attempts to keep the ball from touching the edges of the screen by rotating the paddle in a circle. Collect bits, earn cosmetic upgrades and climb the leaderboard in this new, exciting game!

    This is my first solo release. I started this project back in 2021 while I was a full time student. This game started as a small project where the goal was to create a simple arcade style game. It ended up evolving into a mobile arcade game which I plan to release on IOS and Android. This game is still in active development with no current release date.

  • Little Crew

    Little Crew

    You and your Little Crew have crash landed on a mysterious planet. The rest of your crew has been captured by the monsters that roam this land. You are tasked with rescuing your crew in order to repair your ship and leave the planet.

    This is my second Ludum Dare game jam submission. This game was built in Unity 6 over the span of 72 hours. This was submitted for Ludum Dare 56 where the theme was “Tiny Creatures”. We decided to make a game where the goal is to rescue your crewmates after a crash landing on an foreign planet in order to repair your ship and escape. During the course of the development I had a nasty flu, the result being I wasn’t able to spend the amount of time that I would have liked to on this submission. Regardless I am extremely proud of how it turned out. I was responsible for the art and programming for this game with the audio and other programming tasks being performed by Sawyer King.

  • Space Case

    Space Case

    In this platforming adventure, you are limited in your spacebar usage! You can collect batteries to power the wheelchair you are strapped to earn more jumps and escape the asylum!

    This is my first Ludum Dare game jam submission. We created it using Unreal Engine 5, which was my first time using and learning the engine. I was responsible for creating some of the obstacles and objects you interact with, but primary focused on level design. We participated as a team of 4, the others were fellow employees at Melcher Studios and seasoned Unreal Engine developers. I was able to learn a lot about the engine during this jam which has bolstered my experience and knowledge.

    In a world recovering from a devastating pandemic, A.I. developed by shady governments evolves into a threat known as the AiPOCALYPSE, seeking to eradicate humanity. As a resilient Shayder survivor, you navigate the world, trading for essentials and learning rhythmic patterns to destroy A.I. mines harvesting Aideate!

    The game is a unique hybrid of RHYTHM and RPG with multiple ways to play, tons of UPGRADES, WEAPONS, and CLASSES to augment your playstyle, and diverse SONIC PACKS to enhance your experience!

    Your mission is to uncover and weaponize long-forgotten rhythmic patterns to thwart the A.I.’s plan for global destruction!

    This was my first studio release. This game is a rhythm rpg made for mobile. I worked on this project for 8 months primary on the shop, the rhythm stage, minor art, weapon progression system and much more.

  • Coo D’état

    Coo D’état

    You are a Carrier Pigeon being trained to face the dangers of the real world. You must navigate between different threats while managing your limited resources. After you are deemed to be experienced enough, you get to change the game for every pigeon that comes after you!

    This game was for a class project for a class at the University of Saskatchewan. Our projects focus was as a research project where the goal was to allow players to balance the game them selves. What that means is that cards were displayed at the end each level where players could choose to increase or decrease aspects of the game. The catch was that this would affect every player that played the game. Meaning that if you made a change, there is no guarantee that the rest of the player base would agree with you and could choose to vote oppositely. I acted as the producer and team lead of this game which saw me learn valuable leadership skills as well as how to keep scope in check. I also acted as a programmer and created many elements such as the boss, the porch pirate enemy, most of the UI and more.

  • Risk of Geometry

    Risk of Geometry

    A game where you must fight against endless waves of shapes. Try to clear enough stages in this face paced game to reach the final boss and save this geometric world.

    This was my first major class game at the University of Saskatchewan. We were placed in teams of five and had to come up with a game that we were able to complete as beginners. My experience at Code Ninjas teaching others Unity came in handy and we were able to come up with a fun, vibrant and unique game. Inspired by Risk Of Rain 2, we wanted to make an action packed game with abilities and portals which would need to be charged to go to the next level. My main responsibilities was as a team lead, design, programming gameplay features such as procedural worlds, the teleporter, the boss and more.
